Troubleshooting: Bluetooth Headphones Not Appearing on Windows 10

If your Bluetooth headphones not appearing in windows 10 computer, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the problem:



Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled - Check Bluetooth Status: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and make sure Bluetooth


Bluetooth Icon: Check the taskbar for the Bluetooth icon. If it's missing, Bluetooth might be disabled.


In case Bluetooth is enabled and it is still not showing up, run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

 

To run the Bluetooth troubleshooter, type 'Bluetooth' in the taskbar search and select the 'Find and fix problems with Bluetooth devices' option.


The Bluetooth troubleshooter wizard will open. Follow the default steps and click 'Next'


The troubleshooter wizard will automatically detect the issue. Once it is finished, it will prompt 'Fixed'. Then, click 'Close'.



The next step is to go to the taskbar, right-click on the Bluetooth icon, and select 'Add Bluetooth device



Click 'Add Bluetooth device'. It will show your device. Make sure to power off and on your Bluetooth device (just put it in the case and take it out).



Other troubleshooting steps you should try if your issue is not resolved include :


Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled

  • Check Bluetooth Status: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and make sure Bluetooth

  • Bluetooth Icon: Check the taskbar for the Bluetooth icon . If it's missing, Bluetooth might be disabled.

Check Headphones

  • Power On: Ensure your Bluetooth headphones are turned on and in pairing mode.

  • Battery: Make sure the headphones have enough battery.

  • Distance: Keep the headphones close to the computer to ensure a strong signal.

Update Bluetooth Drivers

  • Device Manager: Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.

  • Bluetooth: Expand the Bluetooth section. - Update Driver: Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver. Choose Search automate

Re-pair Your Headphones

  • Remove Device: Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, find your headphones in the list

  • Pair Again: Turn on pairing mode on your headphones and try to pair them with your computer again.

Restart Bluetooth Services

  • Services: Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

  • Bluetooth Services: Find Bluetooth Support Service, right-click, and select Restart. Ensure that the startup type is set to Automatic.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Windows Update: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any available updates.

Check Airplane Mode

  • Disable Airplane Mode: Ensure that Airplane mode is turned off. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode.

Reset Network Settings

  • Network Reset: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status and click on Network reset. Note that this will remove and reinstall all network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings.

Use a Different Bluetooth Adapter

  • External Adapter: If the built-in Bluetooth adapter is not working, consider using an external USB Bluetooth adapter.



If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with your Bluetooth adapter or headphones. In that case, contacting customer support for your device or considering a professional repair might be necessary.
